Customer reviews policy

At ATELIER DU POUF, the opinions of our customers and visitors are valuable to us. This page explains, fairly, clearly and transparently, where the reviews displayed on our website come from, how they are checked, published and retained.

Legal framework

Our policy complies with the rules of the French Consumer Code relating to online reviews, in particular:

  • Article L111-7-2: anyone who collects, moderates or distributes online consumer reviews must provide fair, clear and transparent information about how these reviews are published and processed, specify whether or not they are subject to verification and, where applicable, the main characteristics of that verification. Information making it possible to establish whether and how the professional ensures that published reviews come from consumers who have actually used or purchased the product is deemed material.
  • Articles D111-16 to D111-19: these specify the information to be provided (whether reviews are verified, the date of the review and the consumer experience, ranking criteria, any compensation, publication and retention periods, the reasons for rejecting a review and notification to its author).
  • Article L121-4, 27° and 28°: misleading commercial practices include claiming that reviews are posted by consumers who have actually used or purchased the product without taking the necessary steps to verify this, as well as posting or having false reviews posted, or modifying consumer reviews in order to promote products.

Where do our reviews come from?

The reviews displayed on our website may come from:

  • customers who ordered from our website and were invited to leave a review after their order;
  • spontaneous feedback from consumers (e-mail, message, contact form);
  • visitors met at trade shows;
  • visitors met at Christmas markets;
  • visitors who saw or tried our beanbags at exhibitions in professional venues (shops, showrooms, public-access establishments, etc.).

Reviews collected outside the website (trade shows, Christmas markets, exhibitions and spontaneous feedback) are published with the author’s consent and faithfully transcribed, without altering their content.

Important: not all reviews necessarily come from people who purchased the product. Some are provided by visitors who saw or tried our beanbags at a trade show, market or exhibition. Only reviews linked to an identified order are marked as coming from a verified buyer.

Are reviews subject to verification?

Yes. Each review is read before publication. This verification is solely intended to exclude:

  • insulting reviews;
  • reviews that disclose personal information concerning an individual (full name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.).

No other reason justifies refusing a review. Negative reviews are published in the same way as positive reviews. We never modify the content of a review.

When a review is refused, we notify its author by any appropriate means and explain the reason for the refusal.

We may contact the author of a review solely to follow up on their review or respond to them.

Publication and retention periods

  • Each review is published or refused no later than 15 days after receipt.
  • Reviews are published and retained for a maximum of 5 years from their publication date.

Compensation

No compensation (discount, gift or benefit) is provided in exchange for submitting a review.

Review dates and ranking

The publication date of each review is shown. By default, reviews are arranged chronologically, from newest to oldest. You can also sort them according to other available criteria (for example, highest ratings, lowest ratings or reviews with photos).

Modifying or deleting a review

The author of a review submitted online can modify or delete it through the Judge.me platform used by our website to manage reviews. For a review collected at a trade show, Christmas market or exhibition, or for any questions, write to us at contact@atelierdupouf.com.

Personal data

Data provided when submitting a review is processed solely for managing and publishing that review. To learn more and exercise your rights, please see our privacy policy.
