Unpacking guide: how to restore your beanbag's shape
Step 1 — Unpacking the box
Open the box and take out all the components. Your beanbag is protected by several layers of packaging to ensure safe transport.
Step 2 — Removing the protective layers
You will find:
- A fabric cover with a zipper
- Two layers of compressed plastic film
Carefully cut the plastic films using scissors.
⚠️ Be careful not to insert the blade too deeply to avoid damaging the beanbag.
Step 3 — Shaping (IMPORTANT)
This is the most important step for achieving an optimal result.
As the foam was compressed for transport, you must:
- Air out and work the foam by hand for 10 to 15 minutes
- Massage the entire beanbag to break up any foam clumps
- Shake it vigorously
- Turn it in different directions
- Press on the sides to distribute the filling evenly
👉 This step ensures an even shape and prevents dents or harder areas from forming.
Step 4 — Shape recovery time
Then let the beanbag naturally regain its shape for 24 to 48 hours.
After 24 hours:
- Work the beanbag again for a few minutes
- Turn it over into different positions
- Make sure the foam is evenly distributed
You can then start using it. Feel free to reshape it and reposition the filling if necessary during the first few days.
Step 5 — Final result & finishing touches
Between 72 hours and one week after unpacking, your beanbag will have reached its optimal shape.
You can then:
- Enjoy your beanbag to the fullest
- Remove the labels if you wish
If they are wrinkled:
- Use an iron on a low setting
- Place a cloth between the iron and the label to avoid damaging it
