Return Policy

Have you changed your mind, or does your product have a defect? Here is what to do. These rules supplement our general terms and conditions of sale.

1. Right of withdrawal: 14 days to change your mind

In accordance with Articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, consumer customers have fourteen (14) days from receipt of the goods to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason or bear any costs other than those provided below. For orders involving several goods delivered separately, the period begins on receipt of the last item.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal The customer must notify us of their decision before the deadline by using our withdrawal form (the “Withdrawal form” link at the bottom of every page), or by sending any unambiguous statement by email to contact@atelierdupouf.com or by post to the registered office. The statutory withdrawal form template is available on the same page. An acknowledgment of receipt will be sent by email.

Returning the products. The customer must return the products without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after notifying us of their decision, to the following address:

Return costs. The direct costs of returning the products are payable by the customer. Due to their size, beanbags generally cannot be returned through standard postal services and require a carrier: the return cost is estimated at €40 maximum for a return from mainland France. For a return from another country, the customer may contact us before shipping for an estimate.

Condition of the products. The customer is liable only for any depreciation resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and proper functioning of the goods. The original packaging is recommended when still available, or otherwise packaging offering equivalent protection; this is not a condition for exercising the right of withdrawal.

Refund. ATELIER DU POUF will refund all amounts paid, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after the date on which it is informed of the withdrawal decision. The refund may be delayed until the goods have been recovered or until the customer has provided proof that they have been shipped, whichever occurs first. It will be made using the same payment method as that used for the original transaction, unless the customer expressly agrees to another method. Additional costs resulting from the customer's express choice of a delivery method more expensive than standard delivery will not be refunded.

Exceptions. The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts referred to in Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, including the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized. The products offered on the website are standard models: their purchase entitles the customer to a right of withdrawal.

2. Return procedure

  1. Notify us of your withdrawal within 14 days of receipt, using our withdrawal form or by email to contact@atelierdupouf.com, stating your order number and the products concerned. No reason is required.
  2. Prepare the parcel: use the original packaging if you still have it; otherwise, use packaging that protects the product during transport.
  3. Ship the product within 14 days of your notification to the return address above, using a tracked shipping method. Keep the proof of shipment and tracking number.
  4. Refund: no later than 14 days after your notification, under the conditions set out above.

3. Damaged, defective, or non-conforming product

If your product arrives damaged, has a defect, or does not correspond to your order, contact us at contact@atelierdupouf.com, describing the problem and, if possible, including photographs. You benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity (two years from delivery) and the statutory guarantee against hidden defects: we will offer to repair or replace the product or, failing that, provide a price reduction or refund, in accordance with Articles L. 217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. In this case, we will cover the return costs. Details of these guarantees are set out in Article 9 of our General Terms and Conditions.
