Atelier du Pouf was born from a personal frustration turned obsession: why is it so hard to find a refuge that’s as gentle on your back as it is on your eyes?
Those stunning armchairs, "magazine-worthy," but where you barely dare to breathe.
Those shapeless poufs, soulless "bean bags" that get hidden away when guests arrive.
We refused to compromise. We wanted to create a hybrid object: an invitation to laziness, but with the elegance of an architect’s piece.
So, the workshop turned into a laboratory. We touched hundreds of velvets, tested foam densities down to the gram, failed often, and always started over.
The goal? To capture that cloud-like feeling, that immediate "ahhh" of relief, while maintaining a clean line that transcends time.

The realization that no seat on the market made us want to curl up in it without shame. We had to invent our own.
Nights spent sketching curves. Smoothing edges, softening lines, seeking the silhouette that soothes the eye.
The longest phase. Finding the perfect mix of beads and foam. Too hard? We start over. Too soft? We adjust.
